The trust provides a high quality, comprehensive range of health services from leading edge tertiary and trauma care to community services, delivered from 2 hospital sites, St.George’s Hospital in Tooting and Queen Mary’s Hospital in Roehampton, and from St John’s Therapy Centre, 11 health centres and clinics, schools, nursing homes and people’s own homes. The trust also manages the healthcare service at HMP Wandsworth. With national and regional referrals added to our local 35m catchment, we serve a population of around 5m. We employ around 8,000 staff.

Security Supervisor – Band 4 £23,375 – £26,950 pa inc

Shift work will also attract additional enhancements and overtime work is also available.

St George’s Hospital in Tooting is seeking suitably experienced
individuals to fill security supervisor posts in its 24/7 security service.

You will need to have an understanding of the special character of an NHS security service which is to care for patients and visitors often in pain or distress.

In addition you will have a more conventional security role in managing violence, crime reduction and car parking on the hospital site often working closely with the police.

This is shift work an shifts are 12 hour shifts. Please read the job description for more information.

Applicants will need to have some staff management experience.

You will need to be fully physically fit and able to run to incidents.
You need to have a good understanding of and an ability to communicate in English.

You will need a good basic knowledge of IT such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and the use of databases.

All candidates will undergo fitness, literacy and basic IT tests on the recruitment day.
