Duty Security Manager

Job purpose

To manage, develop and exceed expectations for the client ensuring premier security provision is provided at all times.

To ensure all First Security policies and procedures are adhered to and where necessary developed. A clear understanding of the contract culture is required to ensure all members of the teams are fully motivated and committed to providing a bespoke security service.

To act in support of other service providers and FM functions to ensure the entire operation is maintained without compromise.


Responsibilities
Management
To have total responsibility and ownership for the day to day running of the security operation within the building.
To be in constant liaison with the Security Cluster manager to ensure the terms of the contract are met and exceeded.
To liaise with the the Security Cluster manager to ensure KPI’s and SLA’s are met and exceeded.
To ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to.
To liaise with all departments at head office to seek advice and guidance where necessary.
To lead and motivate the security team ensuring the ethos and core values of the client is emanate within their roles and responsibilities.
To ensure the team is resilient in providing 6 star customer service and security to all visitors and staff.
To forge strong successful relationships with other services providers within the building, creating a seamless partnership in providing 6 star security and customer service.
Ensuring all issues and incidents are dealt with and reported on in a timely, professional and efficient manner to the Security Cluster Manager and First Security PCC teams.
To ensure diplomacy and tactfulness is applied at all times in delivering 6 star security customer service.
To implement and manage all aspects of the building and First Security health and safety requirements as well as maintain strict compliance in accordance with statutory requirements.
Ensure that all contract security personnel are aware, have read and understood, the current AI’s and post instructions.
Managing the administration and welfare of the site security team, including induction and continuation training, probation, and setting objectives during annual appraisals.
Responsible for the rostering of staff and ensuring the contract is manned to contractual specifications, including appropriate holiday cover and managing staff absences.
To be forward thinking and be a part of idea generation and innovations for the client.
To devise and implement new security procedures where appropriate in facilitating the success of the building.
To develop the team and ensure training requirements are identified and training programmes implemented.
Develop the security knowledge and ethos of the building within your team and establish security excellence. To act as incident commander for all client and First Security related business continuity/disaster recovery/incident response scenarios.
To promote, manage and develop best practice working routines throughout the security team.


Person


Demonstrable experience in the Security industry (Essential)
Demonstrable experience in managing a prestigious and highly demanding contract (Essential)
Excellent client facing skills and proven experience (Essential)
Proven management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team (Essential)
A valid SIA front-line licence (Essential) CTV/PSS licence (Essential)
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
Able to deal in a professional manner in all stressful situations
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to complete tasks quickly and accurately
Ability to interview, appraise and performance manage individuals
Be able to develop a thorough knowledge of the Company’s core business functions
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure
Demonstrable proactive and professional approach to security. Professional and well groomed.


Package


Pay: £16.49 per hour
Shift pattern: 3 on 3 off
Hours: 42 hours per week - Days and Nights 0700 - 1900/1900 - 0700
