Summary
To protect company assets by identification of loss and implementation of effective loss reduction solutions.

Responsibilities

Implement Company loss prevention policy and procedures.
Develop staff awareness of loss issues through training and communication.
Produce exception reports.
Monitor write offs, and ensure debits are controlled.
Monitor data accuracy, markdown application and processing, fitting rooms controls, store room disciplines and stock handling procedures, point of sale disciplines.
Monitor cash handling and point of sale procedures.
Support the pre-stocktake process, participate in the count and ensure effective investigation stock results in conjunction with the store team and in liaison with Business Controls.
Ensure adherence to all procedures relation to stocktake and preparation.
Monitor service delivery from AFC Group.
Identify areas of internal loss, provide solutions and prevention checks to resolve.
Assess effectiveness of prevention checks increase/decrease checks to meet risk, as defined by database indicators.
Ensure security systems and equipment is used to maximum potential.


Communication


Ensure effective methods of upward and downward communication are implemented.
Effectively communicate with AFC Group line management.
In store contact point for police and other law enforcement agencies.


Other Duties

To participate in projects and working parties, or carry out any other duties that may be outside the standard remit, that will benefit the individual, Store, Cluster or the Company as a whole
Ideal candidate


Previous management experience in a service sector environment. The ability to influence, communicate with and train managers and staff to ensure that, loss prevention policies and procedures are understood and adhered to. The ability to analyse information and data to identify loss or trends and to recommend corrective action. Understanding of criminal law in the retail environment and the ability to gather admissible evidence.
