Serco is now at final bid stage for an exciting facilities management contract opportunity. If successful, Serco will be responsible for the provision of critical soft facilities services to a large NHS Trust with hospitals across east London.

What is the opportunity?

We are looking for an experienced Security Manager to lead the development and delivery of Security Services across a number of hospitals which comprise the contract for this prestigious NHS Trust situated in East London.

The Security Manager will be responsible for the mobilisation and transformation of the Security service to take it into the “business as usual” target operating model, as well as being the SME lead for all security related matters.

With responsibility for the management of a sizeable budget and significant employee team, development of effective relationships with the NHS and stakeholders at all levels will be an integral element of this challenging role.



What are the key responsibilities?

In order to meet the contractual, legal and internal compliance standards, you will take full accountability for financial, operational and people performance.

You will take responsibility for motivating and developing employees within the team, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures to minimise risk.



What skills and experience do you need?

We are looking for applicants with SIA qualifications together with solid relevant experience and competent understanding of Security related systems and equipment, including CCTV, two way radios and full Security PPE.

You will possess strong leadership and people management skills, including leading and facilitating transformational change.

The ability to identify, analyse and develop continuous improvement opportunities along with effective communication and negotiating skills will be crucial.
