The Security Supervisor (SS) is accountable to the Security Manager (SM) for the support, management and delivery of security within the building at Coleman St.

The SS will ensure exemplary standards of security and customer service are provided to the client and visitors to the site at all times.


Main Duties and Responsibilities
Purpose of the job:

Supervise Security officers to ensure that company procedures are followed and adhered to at all times.
Lead the security team when dealing with incidents.
Support and provide guidance to other site based staff.
Continuous management and monitoring of CCTV screens / systems and associated specialist security equipment
Continual management and monitoring / policing of site radio systems.
Intelligent understanding of human behavior, monitoring and surveillance of suspect individuals logging and reporting incidents in line with site / company polices.
Controlling and prioritising incidents ensuring all key personnel are kept fully informed at all times.
Diligent management and maintenance of records / reference materials including Health & Safety records, Incident Forms and the site occurrence book
Ensuring strict compliance to the Data Protection Act and associated regulations and auditing of records.
Manage and monitor all access control system, ensuring all defects are reported correctly for repair.
Ensuring that the building is a safe and non-threatening environment for all customers and site staff.
Support the SM in ensuring standards are continually reviewed and improved upon.
Be responsible for dedicated tasks and areas of responsibility as indicated by the SM
Maintain standards and welfare amongst all team member in accordance with the company policies and values
Report to the SM any event that may be detrimental to the fulfillment of the provision of security on site.
Support the SM with regards to security audits undertaken and any non-compliance highlighted and managed to completion.
To manage excellent relationships with our client, our suppliers and other partners.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Monitor and improve the levels of customer satisfaction for manned security delivery.
Supporting the SM to ensure a timely response to all security issues and events.
Liaising with the site control room proactively reacting to incidents and ensuring colleagues are fully briefed and supported at all times and agreed escalation procedures are followed.
All unsecured areas of the estate to be reported to SM immediately and action taken to resolve.
To record / log all non-conformances and emergencies with the SM
To deal efficiently and effectively with emergencies including fire and bomb scares ensuring the site FM team are kept fully informed at all times.
Maintain vigilance and highlight / manage unauthorised access by banned persons.
Provide assistance to third party contractors / visitors ensuring all site procedures / policies are adhered too.
To liaise closely with statutory authorities, dealing with incidents and the provision of information.
Maintain continuous monitoring of site radio systems adhering to correct radio procedures at all times.
Ensure a timely response to all security issues and events.
To liaise closely with the Cleaning and Engineering team delivering one service and highlight opportunities in working as one team


Qualifications and Experience
Essential:


Dual SIA Front Line/CCTV License

Desirable:
IOSH Managing Safely
