Job Description

The Security department is responsible for the overall health, safety and security of Guests, Employees, the Hotel, apartments and its property. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

FINANCIAL RETURNS

Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans.
 Monitor budget and control expenses.Support the management with regular audits of the property to ensure damage of the property is minimised and no long term security issues that will affect the value of the business/property.
Conducts hazard and risk assessments at the property to incident tracking, and the hazard abatement process.
Analyse statistical accident data to allocate resources for high risk areas at hotels.
Provide support to operations, statutory specialist training, supplier approval and risk management.


PEOPLE

To manage the day to day running of the security department Arora Tower apartments, and support all other hotel departments.
Safeguarding and maintaining all aspects of the above
Managing the safety and security department and team
Managing all duties and procedures relating to Fire, Health and Safety, Emergency and crisis plans within the hotel
In conjunction with the GM acting as Head of Health and Safety within the hotel, taking full responsibility for compliance and best practise
To remain flexible to cover security department rota changes including holidays, i.e. slotting in to the night shift etc.
To train all members of the team in the correct systems of work, policies and procedures.
To manage and monitor all work carried out.
To manage the performance of all Security team members to include conducting 1:1’s, probationary reviews and objective setting.
To assist HR in delivering H&S training at Comoany Induction and throughout the year
GUEST EXPERIENCE

Understand and respond to customer’s needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction e.g. investigation outcomes etc
Carry out preventive security programmes to ensure the facility is safe and in service for our guests.
Ensure all areas of the business are safe and secure for the guests, staff, contractors and suppliers.
Prepare and deliver security operation of large scale M&E events alongside agency provider
Attend client meetings and be visible point of contact for security needs
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS

To keep the Hotel Manager informed of any incident or situation, which could result in a loss to the company.Ensure all risk assessments within the hotel are completed to the required standardAnalyse statistical accident data to allocate resources for high risk areas at hotels.
To control and manage all keys, access controls and associated systems within the hotel.
To oversee and advise on procedures regarding the control, safe keeping and documentation of lost/ found property within the hotel.
Oversees all loss prevention operations to include emergency response, investigations (initial & follow up) for all guest and employee related incidents, shipping and receiving process (makes recommendations for improvement), electronic key system and manager on duties responsibilities.
To manage the process of staff searches and checks as directed or when a situation demands.
To manage all duties and procedures relating to the company Fire / Emergency / and crisis plan processes and regulations and deliver training to managersTo conduct all training associated with company Fire, Health & Safety procedures & policy.
To ensure that the hotel and business remains legally compliant in all aspects of Health & Safety.
To chair regular H&S Meetings ensuring attendance and adherence to policy and regulation within the hotel.
To conduct, monitor and maintain all risk assessments relating to the hotel and its business.
To manage all Security and Health & Safety administration, ensuring that the hotel is always compliant with current laws.
To liaise with local key contacts – O2 Security, KnightDragon, local authorities as neededPerform other duties as assigned.
 Will also serve as a manager on duty as per the property roster.
To manage performance and relationship of agency security including day to day operations and large scale events


Desired Skills & Experience

Excellent ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing
The ability to influence and inspire your department and the wider hotel team
The ability to coach, support and challenge to deliver performance
a current SIA license
Previous experience of managing compliance
Ideally NEBOSH qualified
a smart and professional appearance
Ideally hoptel security background
