AIG Travel provides 24-hour emergency travel assistance services to any customer who has purchased travel insurance from AIG.  AIG Travel acts as an emergency help-line during a policy holder’s travels for such issues as lost passport replacement, airline and hotel reservation changes; security related concerns, as well as referrals to a doctor or hospital, and emergency medical evacuations.

AIG Travel EMEA is based in Shoreham-on-Sea, UK. AIG Travel is wholly owned by AIG.

Job Purpose / Accountabilities:

The Regional Security Manager – EMEA will be responsible to support the regional sales teams to contribute to revenue stream, to engage with clients, brokers, regional sales teams and the AIG Global Security team and to develop business and products that would benefit the region.

Principle responsibilities

SUPPORT – support the sales teams to contribute to revenue stream.

• Work with regional sales teams in support of product marketing and sales. This position must be available to provide subject matter expertise in support of the BU and must be capable of interacting with both the sales team and clients alike
• Work with regional sales teams in order to understand customer feedback in regards to services in order to better tailor and align security product and service to the customer’s needs
• Attend AIG client meetings to discuss security services & support, identify additional security service requirements, prepare presentation slides, marketing material and business proposals
• Ensure alignment with AIG Travel account managers and AIG business units on products being promoted to market
• Serves as the point of contact in EMEA for all customer facing security related concerns, while working first hand with account managers, and clients.

ENGAGE - Assist with Security Product development and Crisis Management Support

• Oversight of the delivery of any major security deployments
• Work closely with key AIG corporate clients heads of security, assist with implementation of emergency assistance protocols and processes
• Work with AIG Global Security team in Houston to develop security service offering
• Utilize various analytical techniques and procedures to understand and decode a wide range of intelligence information and make strategic decisions based on their knowledge of the situation on the ground
• Provide Crisis Management support and oversight to AIG insured and AIG Travel EMEA team, assist with ground support and engage with key local security stakeholders while working with the AIG GSOC.
• Responsible for assisting with response procedures during global critical incidents and providing status briefings to management when necessary
• Responsible for assisting with the deployment of emergency resources globally in order to ensure the highest level of protection and response capabilities are being provided to all clients
• Identify potential hotspots around the world that may pose a security threat to customers and direct priority briefings to management
• Ensure compliance with all internal / external regulatory requirements

DEVELOP - Enhance Products and Services – development of products through knowledge of the region and unique requirements in the region.

• Develop and maintain network of regional contacts in the security intelligence field
• Monitor and report on any incident impacting AIG and policy holder property and personnel worldwide. This includes the utilization of several software tracking systems, quantifying large amounts of data and providing information in a short period of time
• Perform research and provide content updates for the Global Threat Monitoring internet site. This includes providing global security with intelligence information based on rapidly changing threat conditions around the world
• Assess the EMEA market by market readiness for selling new security products
• Proactive approach to promoting new services
• Create new products or adapt existing products to match capabilities and demand

Operating Environment

This role involves interaction with the AIG Global Security Operations Centers, EMEA AIG business units, AIG Travel medical and operations team, and other AIG Travel worldwide claims operations.

Position Requirements:

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's degree required
• At least 5 years experience with military, major law enforcement, intelligence, public or private sector security
• Significant experience dealing across EMEA markets - regional language capabilities is a plus
• Strong network of intelligence resources is a must
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of current global geo-political activity, threat conditions, and government structures.
• Able to work with limited supervision and resources - must have a ‘can do’ attitude
• Analytical with good business acumen
• Well developed communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Experienced at building relationships
