JOB TITLE Security Specialist, Unipart House
REPORTING TO Head of Security Operations, Cowley
LOCATION Cowley
SCOPE
Role Purpose and Summary Objectives - To assist in the identification, detection and prevention of crime at the prestigious Group Head Office based at Cowley.
The Unipart Way - To learn and embrace the Unipart Ways tools and techniques and apply these to the role.
Key Relationships and Interfaces - Building and maintaining an effective two way communication style with:
Security team at Cowley
·Unipart Security Head Office
·Monitoring & Receiving Centre
·Internal Unipart clients
·External clients based at Unipart House
·Liaison with suppliers of electronic and security systems
ACCOUNTABILITES
Operational Processes, Procedures and Project Delivery
·Providing a proactive security service
·Producing Site Improvement Plans for external clients in Unipart House
·Checking the ID and authorisation of staff, visitors and contractors
·Conducting patrols to ensure the premises are secure
·Learn systems and report any problems
·Conduct checks and respond to alarm activations for Senior Executives
Monitoring and Measuring
·Produce factual and precise incident reports
·To set, monitor and respond to any fire alarm, intruder alarm and emergency medical alarm activations within the Unipart House
·To undertake checks on the authorisation of goods being taken out of the Unipart House.
·To treat all staff, visitors and contractors with dignity & respect
Resource Management
·To work within the Security Specialist Team to identify problems and achieve resolutions
·To ensure a smooth and full handover of daily events to members of the team
·To utilise the patrol system to aid patrols
·To utilise the electronic access control system
·To produce an hourly log of activity confirming the positions within the Unipart House and surrounding areas on a daily basis
·To be involved in the planning and participation of prestigious events by providing security service
External Interfaces - Such external agencies as may be required dependant upon the circumstances.
Qualifications and Experience
·To be in possession of a Door Supervisor SIA licence
·SIA CCTV licence desirable
·Excellent written and verbal communication
·Customer service experience
·Smart appearance
