Site Security Manager

The Site Security Officer will lead, manage and co-ordinate
security team activities and resources at the site to ensure full
compliance with internally and externally directed and agreed
security, safety, and environmental standards and expectations.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Leading and managing the Station Security Guard Force in all
their activities to ensure security legal compliance, an effective and
efficient site security regime and a motivated team
• To have a major input into the development of a security
projects
• Ensuring that all site security activities, including those
undertaken by contractors, are carried out with full regard to site
license requirements, statutory regulations, company and location
directives, procedures and safety rules
• Be responsible for all matters relating to site security, including
frequently interfacing with local Police, the Security Regulator and
other agencies
• Ensuring that the site security standards are defined and
maintained to achieve compliance with regulatory directives,
company and site policy
Advising on security systems, including the use of existing and
additional equipment necessary to maintain the site security
regime
Working closely with other Station teams to implement site
policies and strategies to achieve business objectives

Nature and Scope:
This is a unique opportunity to join a team who are using
innovative thinking to ensure the security of the Hinkley Point C
site. The post holder will be implementing a graduated security
regime at the site during the construction and operational phases.
The post-holder will be responsible for the implementation of
security both at the main Hinkley Point C site and at other
associated developments within the Bridgwater area.
The post holder must currently hold, or be able to achieve the 'SC'
level of security clearance
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in the nuclear industry
Relevant degree or an appropriate equivalent qualification
Proven leadership and managerial skills at a high level, particularly
in the security sector
Knowledge of current UK civil nuclear industry security regulation
Experience of the following types of security systems
o Automatic Access Control
o Video Surveillance
o Alarm Management
