Reliable and friendly, you'll need a full driving licence and the ability to work equally well on your own and with others.
Responsible for using a security vehicle, alone or with another member of staff, for secure deliveries and collections to and from customers’ premises. Working within the company procedural guidelines to ensure a high quality of service is consistently maintained, with optimum efficiency.
This is a Casual vacancy for at least 20 days holiday cover per year (4 hours per day) plus any sickness.
Role Responsibility:
Team Work and Collaboration
- Carry out any other duties that are deemed reasonable
- Maintain good, safe and courteous driving behaviour
- Undertake training activities as required
- Deliver and collect accurately cash to/from customer sites
- Always be polite and courteous to customers and members of the public
- Present a professional appearance by always wearing the company uniform and the equipment provided
- Carry out vehicle checks and report any security and/or mechanical defects
- Carry out procedures properly in the event of an emergency or a criminal attack
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with the trip sheet
- Always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided
- Using the HHT to ensure an audit trail for all cash/containers is maintained at all times
- Exercise security awareness at all times and always report any insecure practices/locations to line manager
- Checking consignments and ensuring accuracy and efficient loading/unloading at branches and other secure areas
- Always adhere to Operational Standing Orders
- Follow company procedures to ensure the security of cash, staff and vehicle is maintained at all times
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential criteria
- Have held a current full driving licence for 3 years
- Ability to follow laid down instructions
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Numerate
- Flexible and helpful
- Focused on delivery of customer service
- Checkable 10 year employment/unemployment/educational history
- Must be able to communicate with customers and colleagues in English
- Must be able to pass a personal credit check, identity check and criminal records check
- Ability to be available 24/7 to service ATM Machine (£30 will be paid for each call out)
- Be able to work alone or as part of a team
- Previous experience in a driving role
- Effective communication skills at all levels
- Basic IT competence
- Security conscious
- Hold an SIA licence
