We are recruiting for Security Officers to carry out tasks as required to maintain the agreed service standards for all security services provided by BBW to the BBC at Roath lock Drama Village. Reporting directly to the Security Supervisor, you will be required to work on your own initiative and as part of a team throughout a 24 hour rotating shift pattern.

You will be responsible for the security of BBW and BBC assets. You will be expected to deliver exceptional Customer Service to all staff and visitors within the BBC Estate.


Requirements:
SITO/SIA License Certification held
SIA CCTV License held
BS7858 – Vetting will take place
Experience in a similar role essential
Basic IT knowledge
Knowledge of the security regulations with reference to statutory and mandatory regulations.
Passionate about customer service
A commitment to delivering a “World Class” customer service delivery.
Ability to deal with ambiguous and/or conflicting situations in a non adversarial and customer centric manner.
Ability to work in a confidential environment
Flexibility
Successful applicants must be able to provide a full five-year checkable employment / unemployment history.
To undertake any other reasonable duties as required, as detailed by the Security Manager or other FM Manager(s).

· Full Driving License is desirable
· First Aid Certificates. i.e. FAW and First Responder

Responsibilities:
· Carry out a range of specific services as agreed between the job holder and the line manager from the appropriate list of job tasks.
· Work as an effective member of the team, maintaining excellent communication and liaising with other disciplines as appropriate.
· Maintain a positive public image.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of BBW’s service (to its clients), supporting the Key Performance Indicators as required

· Maintain accurate records/documentation that support BBW procedures and processes.

· Build and maintain an effective working relationship with colleagues and customers.

· Ensure that work and behaviour meets and complies with set standards of time, cost, quality and quantity.

· Manage stock levels and support the efficient use of consumables.

· Work to meet compliance with the agreed performance standards relevant to the role.

· Undertake relevant training to ensure performance meets the standards of skill needed to achieve multi-skilled competency.

· Comply with Health & Safety standards and procedures of BBW, e.g. reporting hazards.

· Operate as a security officer in accordance with the duties as laid down in the site assignment instructions.

· Acting as first point of contact for all visitors, staff and contractors.

· Dealing with incidents and emergencies in accordance with the Assignment Instructions. Where necessary escalate the escalation process

· Following procedures for the control of keys and equipment

· Deal with conflict situations

· Carrying out internal, external and CCTV patrols as required

· Performing out of hours helpdesk procedures

· Any other reasonable tasks as required by the line manager
