Job description: Responsible for protecting the business from the impacts of serious internal and external crime and policy breach. Identifying, investigating and responding to senior and serious corporate crime risks. Ensuring plans and processes are agreed and in place for the protection of staff, customers and company assets from the threats and risks associated with internal and external crime.
To lead and direct field teams on crime investigations and outcomes, utilising resources within the team to deliver objectives on stock and cash integrity.

Providing expert knowledge and guidance across the business at senior level on all issues in relation to crime prevention and investigation.
Maintaining a case file of activity by type.
To develop and implement Group Corporate Protection strategy and supporting policies to identify, investigate and respond to serious and senior fraud (internal and external risks and incidents)
Organised crime (internal and external risks and incidents)
Serious crime (internal and external risks and incidents)
Senior or serious policy breach (internal risk)
Crisis (crime related, internal and external risks and incidents)
The development of intelligence streams to provide source of information for investigation.
Network inside and outside the business to build relationships and co-operation in pursuance of goals.
The investigation of incidents brought to a timely conclusion � preparing detailed case files and recommendations to act upon.
Conduct serious and senior crime investigations across the group.
To define and implement the Group investigations policy including training and coaching for local operating LP teams.
To be on hand to advise and guide manager across the business on tactical approach to crime threats and management.
To manage the incident database and ensure it us an effective tool to help drive efficiencies in reporting and response.
To provide a reporting facility for all serious incidents, and to investigate and respond to incidents or allocate field teams for investigation.
To maintain Police and Crime Prevention Authority relationships.
Development of case files.
Live cases Vs successful outcomes.
Scale of issues identified and managed.

Candidate profile: Previous senior Police experience across a variety of Policing functions coupled with senior Retail Loss Prevention / Security experience.
A go to person for advice, guidance and incident reporting � HR, ER, Legal, IS Group Risk, Company Secretary, MD�s and Ops Directors, CEO and Management Board.
Ability to work across all areas of the business � entire LP team and central ops teams � to share information and solve crime challenges.
Maintain a network across other Retail organisations to debate common issues that have no competitive barriers.
Build and maintain Senior Police networks and relationships to maximise the company leverage.
Expert crime & loss investigator.
Expert in criminal law and experienced in the application of employment law.
High-level analytical skills.
Previous experience of adapting skills to the retail environment.
Drive, energy and determination to succeed when faced with a challenge.
Company standard computer packages, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Word.
Flexibility to adapt to working conditions, and business climate � prepared to negotiate and shape ideas and to embrace others views on ways to get the job done.
Practical experience of processes and systems inside a retail business.
