Job Description
This role has a requirement for flexibility to be migratory across the wider team and will cover potentially, at any one time, a number of deliverables. Predominantly, this role will offer a crime risk analysis and response from the application of analytical work flows, through to the utilisation of crime risk management principles and techniques to post incident processes, security surveys and investigative workflows.

As such their ability to operate cross strand is critical to the greater success of the Security Team.
In the main, this role will offer the following forms of crime responses:
A nationally remitted role to drive up security compliance both procedurally or physically to prevent attack. The role analyses data and intelligence within a defined area to identify the trend in crime and the prioritisation of workload. The role will also advise on the security implications of buildings alterations and planning of new buildings, as required i.e. a new Branch Office formats and other new security equipment such as smoke and dye equipment. Support the Equipment Team, Cash Centre and CIT schemes.
A nationally remitted role to deliver fraud risk approaches to incidences affecting Network and the Supply Chain. These approaches will vary from the deliverance of fraud risk programmes, through to the end to end ownership of traditional investigative approaches that involve case preparation, suspect interviewing, witness interviewing and the onward reporting as required.

Requirements
Review processes using risk management principles and recommend loss prevention methods to minimise or reduce loss to the Business Unit and reduce threat to staff and agents.
Conduct criminal investigations, and ensure all casework and inquiries are conducted in accordance with PACE Act 1984, current legislation, applicable standards and supporting procedures. As required prepare prosecution files, obtaining statements and source evidence as required. Attendance at both Magistrates and Crown Court is necessary as required.
Utilise the appropriate elements of Proceeds of Crime Act and other impacting approaches to ensure that Post Office Ltd maximise the amounts of financial restitution.
Conduct liaison with Police Officers and other law enforcement agencies, government departments, customers or other persons not employed in the business in relation to criminal activity or other related matters.
Review and conduct physical and procedural inspections at all estate buildings, physical assets and agents outlets as required.
Provide protection guidance and advice to all appropriate stakeholders.
Deliver specialist training on all elements of security to staff, agents, Federations and staff associations - through presentations, coaching, seminars, road-shows and written communications as required.
Assist in the project management and co-ordination of security installations and capitalisation programmes and Review processes using risk management principles and recommend loss prevention methods to minimise or reduce loss to the Business Unit and reduce threat to staff and agents.
