Access Control Officer - Windsor (part-time)

Job Description
The Security Liaison Office is responsible for security issues, procedures and practices across the Royal Household.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the busy Windsor Castle Pass Office team. As Access Control Officer you will:

• be the first point of contact for visitors, verifying their identification, and issuing passes;
• liaise with the Metropolitan Police to ensure that police checks are carried out;
• handle general enquiries;
• undertake security checks;
• work closely with all Royal Household Departments, supporting key events and functions.

Although based at Windsor Castle you may also occasionally be required to work at Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace and St James's Palace.
Person Specification
To succeed as an Access Control Officer, you will have:

• a polite and professional manner, with experience of providing front of house, reception or access control services;
• strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate at all levels;
• the ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision making;
• the ability to work under minimal supervision and handle difficult situations when required;
• previous administrative experience, with good IT skills and the ability to assimilate new software packages;
• attention to detail and an ability to prioritise work to tight deadlines;
• experience of working in a personnel security environment would be an advantage.
