Salary : £14,202 - £14,520, with progression to
£15,303 (plus shift allowances)

The Estate Support Service is seeking to
strengthen its Estate Security Service. This
challenging role is for a lively and confident
individual who can thrive in a busy environment
working with all types of people. Reporting to the
Shift Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader this is an
opportunity for experienced security professionals
to play a key role in maintaining a high level of
security of University premises.

You will be a good team player, carry out effective
implementation and co-ordination of University
policies, codes of practices and procedures, while
promoting security projects and initiatives so as
to assist in the prevention of crimes and ensure a
safe/secure environment to all staff, students,
contractors and visitors of the University.

You should be familiar with the daily operations of
a Control Room including the monitoring of
security systems, literate, numerate and
articulate. You will hold an appropriate SIA
licence. A First Aid at Work qualification is
desirable but not essential as further training will
be provided. You will be IT literate, a good
organiser, with well developed interpersonal and
people skills. By the nature of the post a flexible
commitment to working hours is essential. You
will be required to follow a 12 hour shift pattern.

The successful candidate will be subject to a
Criminal Records Bureau check.
