The Role
The Travis Perkins Group is currently recruiting for an experienced security professional to take on the varied and challenging role of Group Security Investigator.

The role of the Group Security Investigator is an important and integral part of the Security Department, which provides a comprehensive support security service to all Brands within the Group. This role will be field based covering the South East region and covers up to 180 branches.

As GSI you will be the first point of contact for Branch Managers and as such need to ensure that the information you provide is not only accurate, but is in line with current policies and procedures and the overall framework of the Group Security Strategy.

Whilst the strategy for the department is set by the Head of Group Security, the GSI manages the day to day implementation, and therefore has an active role in advising how best to put the strategy into effect in order to ensure objectives are met.


What Are We Looking For?

Due to the intricacies of this role it is considered essential that you have knowledge and experience of Criminal Law, Industry Standards and approved Codes of Practice together with some understanding of defining and delivering pro-active service standards.

The following are also considered vital to be successful in this position:
You must have had exposure to complex documents such as Health & Safety and Procedure manuals and be able to comprehend and implement them.
Experience of conducting investigations and interviews, with the ability to do so in line with group policy.
Be familiar with putting together clear, factual and concise security reports.
Have exceptional communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others.

Although not essential the following would be considered an asset:
Have experience in multi site retail / merchant / DIY security environment covering a large geographical area.
To have completed the WZ Non Confrontational Interview Technique course.
Certificate in Security Management.
