Job description
We are currently seeking motivated, customer focused individuals to join our security team. This is an excellent opportunity for a responsible candidate to be part of a brand new shopping centre opening in Hereford.
Skills and Experience required
Experience working within a Retail Security environment
Experience in dealing with members of the public and working within a customer focused environment
Previous experience with two-way radios & telephone equipment essential
Basic IT and Microsoft Office skills essential
Knowledge of local area.
Must be available to work day and night shift patterns
Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security licence.
Desirable:
· Valid SIA CCTV licence preferable
· Valid 1st aid certificate preferable
The role will include a variety of tasks including
· Ensure all rotas are in place to cover the needs of the site taking into account peak periods. To ensure adequate cover is supplied within the Security budget and take ownership of any operational changes
· Establish a thorough understanding of the site specification and monitor the frequencies of all activities, ensuring that the specification is being met.
· Ensure all audits are completed within the timescales given where appropriate and agree action plans where required.
· Check all relevant equipment on site regularly and report on any defects / repairs required.
· Responsibility for budgets including weekly hours, uniform spend and holidays.
· Attend monthly meetings with the clients and provide minutes, and information regarding activities on site relevant to the team’s performance.
· Engage with HR to reduce any performance or attendance issues on site.
· Provide assistance to all visitors to the centre as requested, and be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the centre, tenants and surrounding area.
· Regular liaison with tenants and store management as directed.
· Create a safe environment within the centre by completing regular internal and external patrols
· Complete regular fire testing within the shopping centre and tenant units a requested.
· Monitoring and responding to systems within the centre including CCTV, fire and intruder panels.
· Deliver communications to tenants as required.
· Reporting of all maintenance issues in line with the H&S policy
· Control access and egress to all landlord’s area’s within the centre.
· Ensure all areas are kept clean and that any housekeeping issues are reported.
· Ensure all site based paperwork including DOB and incident report forms are completed to a high standard.
· Where required assist police and local authorities
Salary £9.60 per hour
