Regional Security Manager - Mozambique

Job Summary
The Regional Security Manager, working very closely with and supported by AGSS UAE management, will be responsible for all required aspects of management and service delivery in Mozambique, in order to set the conditions for the significant growth of revenue in country. He/she will work closely with all projects in country, the East Africa BD Manager and will support other regional Aegis activities as required.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver the establishment of one or more Aegis companies in Mozambique whilst working very
closely with AGSS UAE management alongside a significant existing and potential client community in country.

Be the prime BD, marketing and sales asset for Aegis in country and liaise closely with all other parts of the Aegis Group, including the BD manager East Africa, regarding sales and marketing opportunities and other matters as appropriate.
Establish close relationships with relevant Government Ministries in order to facilitate the grant and preservation of both operating and security licences.
Establish partnerships (recommend and vet) with local companies and potential subcontractors across a range of enabling services and products.
Be responsible for the day to day management of the entity/ies.
Reinforce and build aggressively, Aegis’s position as a key enabler in the marketplace, particularly for the Oil and Gas community, as a Gold Standard provider of oil field security, technical, training, intelligence, protective security and specialist consulting services.
Provide oversight and support to Project KINGSTON, as necessary.
Working with and under the guidance of AGSS UAE management, provide the in-country capability ensuring local compliance in relation to corporate administration, licencing, tax, employment etc.

Competencies and skills for the role
Commercially focused, numerate and creative thinker, confident, self-driven and inventive.
A proven and successful track record of operating in, and deep knowledge of the Oil and Gas security sector.
Proven hunger, experience and a successful track record in sales/business development.
Recent relevant local experience in Africa, ideally East Africa or Mozambique.
Outstanding collaborative, analytical, and influencing skills. High levels of personal initiative, motivation, credibility and integrity.

Flexible with the ability to adapt to the changing nature of a dynamic region.
Willingness to cooperate with and learn quickly from AGSS UAE management, key
commercial and financial management skills including oversight of local compliance.
Excellent communication skills – the ability to listen and to communicate complex
solutions to problems confidently, yet sensitively with clients, colleagues and board
members.
Strong negotiation, organisational and cross cultural communication skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a working knowledge of Portuguese.
