Essential Responsibilities Security Vetting Responsible for the administration of security vetting for the business to include new applications, transfers and upgrades, working with the Defence Business Services National Security Vetting (DBS NSV), GE Employee Services, Sub-contract providers and HR Representatives across the business to ensure good communication around applications and to improve efficiencies where possible. Responsible for advising HR and Recruitment Contractors on
any changes to security vetting policies and requirements. Working with these areas to form a strong working partnership to provide a smooth workflow between departments.

Security Administration and Awareness The first point of contact to respond to on-site Security queries relating to Personal Security, Data Security, Physical Security and the Security of Sub-contractors on site. Supporting the Department in raising awareness across the business of the latest security legislation and ‘List X notices’, through induction training, security briefings, newsletter articles and training sessions where required.

Local Security Policies. Amendment of local security procedures and literature for the control of data, facilities, staff and visitors, in accordance with the Security Policy Framework (SPF) and Company Security Policy.

Process Visit Applications Process ePAss and IVCO applications and maintain a good working relationship with Government Agencies to ensure the best possible workflow between GE and the IVCO (International Visits Co-ordination Office) and other Government departments as necessary.

Maintain a good working relationship with Security Guard Force on the Bishops Cleeve site. Provide support to the Security Guard Force with regards to visitor information and security clearance data.

Day-to-Day Activities in the Security Office.

Undertaking the administrative tasks for the Access Control and Visitor Procedures on the Bishops Cleeve site, to include the production and issue of site security ID and car badges and maintenance of the Access Control database.

Supporting the Security Controller in conducting regular audits of Protectively Marked (PM) material and managing the database of protectively marked information.

Developing an understanding of Contracts Management Security and providing administrative support accordingly.

Manage the use of cameras and recording devices on site in accordance with policy to include the issue and monitoring of camera permits.

As Crypto Alternate, ensure the safe storage and secure management of Crypto data and components in accordance with the BMD.

Required to demonstrate good security practises, setting a good example to the business.

Qualifications/Requirements Must be able to work under pressure and on own initiative to tight deadlines. Must be discreet, trustworthy and reliable. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally. Strong administrative skills and attention to detail required. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office tools. Data input experience.
