In 2012 G4S and Lincolnshire Police formed a Strategic Partnership and are now recruiting for a Police Trainer in the Learning & Development Department.

G4S Trainer – Police Trainer
Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 per annum 
Due to the continued growth of our training and development services we are currently recruiting an experienced trainer to work within our Initial Police Training Team delivering Initial Police Programmes.
The Initial Police Programme trainer’s position will be predominantly focussed on the delivery of Lincolnshire Police training, but the successful candidates may also be required to deliver to our clients across the UK.
You must be able to demonstrate extensive training design and delivery experience in a demanding and fast moving environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to the highest levels of customer service delivery are essential.

Role Responsibility:
  • Deliver training across the L&D portfolio, with primary focus on initial police programmes including IPLDP, PCSO, FCR, Special Constables and Volunteers ensuring that client needs are achieved and training requirements are responded to appropriately
  • Support internal G4S initiatives around training delivery across the UK to support service delivery
  • Ensure that learners  have the required skills to successfully, safely and effectively perform the duties of their roles through effective assessment of participants during the training process
  • Review, design and develop training and development products, based on client needs and any local, regional and/or national guidelines
  • Ensure that training  products are designed and delivered in accordance with mandatory/ legal requirements – particularly for training within the emergency services
  • Support the development of new ways of delivering training to maximise performance and ensure the business demonstrates a continuous learning culture
  • Achieve and maintain the organisation’s Quality Audit and Performance Standards
  • Champion ‘continuous professional development’ by keeping up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to internal G4S meetings and attending relevant development courses
  • Act in accordance with security, safety and operational instructions at all times to ensure the maintenance of service delivery
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues internally and externally to maintain high levels of service delivery to all customers and delegates
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential Skills and Knowledge
  • Proven delivery of multiple training methodologies and classroom facilitation
  • Excellent written, oral and inter-personal skills and communication skills
  • Exemplary skills in a Microsoft Office packages
  • Pro-active and positive attitude and the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage workload with conflicting priorities
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
  • Relevant professional training delivery qualification (min AET)
  • Experience in Training Needs Analysis
  • Relevant assessors qualification
