About us
Save the Children UK Global Programmes division is responsible for
delivering immediate and lasting change for children. This is achieved
though the highest possible quality humanitarian and development
programmes for children. Managing safety and security is a key aspect in
our humanitarian response.
About the Role
The Security and Safety Officer will support the Security and Safety
Adviser, by contributing to effective safety and security
management, providing SCUK staff with access to quality technical
advice, security information, training, guidance on internal policies,
ensuring consistent support that enables the management of travel,
deployments and programme delivery in accordance with organisational
duty of care obligations and Safety and Security related Essential
Standards.
About You
You will have a keen interest in the area of NGO Safety and Security
management, and hold a degree in a related discipline such as,
International Development or International Relations. Ideally you are
working or have previously worked in a role related to Safety and
Security within the NGO sector. You are an efficient self-starter with
experience of working on cross organisational initiatives, and of
working in liaison and coordination with colleagues across diverse
disciplines and teams. You are comfortable with supporting projects, as
well as essential day-to-day compliance-related administrative duties.
English is essential, French an asset.
