Job description
An opportunity has arisen for a Security Manager, working for aprestigious client in Birmingham.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To provide a high visibility presence in order to deter
- To manage a team ofSecurity Officers
- To co-ordinate a working rota, including arranging cover for holidays and sickness, ensuring adequate cover is in place 24 hours per day
- To maintain accurate records and logs of visits and any relevant incidents
- To liaise with police and other agencies to ensure a co-ordinated approach
- To ensure premises are safe and secure at all times
- To develop and maintain good working practices and relationships with the client and any other relevant department
- To contribute to a team effort by accomplishing results
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of managing a busy control room, auditing, regular patrols and front and back of house security
- Essential IT Skills (i.e. Outlook and calendar, Microsoft Word and Excel)
- A sound working knowledge of security systems (i.e. access & egress control, CCTV, fire panel etc.)
- A current valid SIA license, including CCTV badge
- Excellent awareness skills
- Experience of working in a similar role
- The ability to work as part of a team
- The ability and experience to manage a team
