Purpose of Role :
To provide a professional, cost effective service by supporting the Facilities Team in delivering security services to the building.

Key Objectives of the Role :
  • Detect and prevent crime on site
  • Protect people and property
  • Provide a visible security service
  • Day to day responsibility for the delivery of a security service
  • Deploy, allocate and supervise a team of security staff
  • Take appropriate corrective action to maintain discipline and control of the security workforce
  • Maintain performance standards
  • Produce rotas for the security team
  • Assist in the preparation of the payroll
  • Liaise with the client to ensure customer satisfaction with the service provided
  • Participate in appraisals, disciplinary hearings and interviews
  • Plan training schedules
  • Operate wheelchairs, trolleys, beds etc to transport patients
Job Level Overview :
The Job Holder will be subject to close supervision and will work within clearly established work routines/instructions. He/She will be competent in the application of standardised work routines and/or the use of non-specialist machinery & equipment. The Job Holder's direct impact on plc and Business Group performance will be negligible.
Operational Accountabilities :
  • Responsible for the completion of a variety of straightforward, stand-alone tasks or high-volume transactions within set rules and instructions
  • Takes instruction and will be subject to regular local supervision of progress against results and escalates issues when required
  • Likely to be a member of a team that focuses on day-to-day routine tasks
  • Responsible for the delivery of their own defined set of work including planning and decision-making
  • Interacts with stakeholders around specific work efforts and deliverables
  • Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards

  • Not typically responsible for supervising others - if they do, spends more than 80% of time as a team member rather than supervisor

Candidate Profile :
  • Able to perform role to the required standard within X timeframe of completion of training
  • Up to NVQ Level 2 qualification as a minimum

Benefits :
Full time security supervisor required to cover Nationwide House in Swindon primarily working nights on a 4 on, 4 off rota however there will be times when day and weekend cover will be required.
The successful candidate will need to have a good standard of IT skills and a valid SIA licence badge is essential.
