Role Responsibility:
Duties and Responsibilities on Behalf of the security contractor:
  • Ensuring the highest standards of management having specific regard to compliance with all statutory, company and contractual requirement.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management, direction and development of site-based Security Staff, ensuring that the team is well motivated, informed and focused.
  • Ensure Site Specific Assignment Instructions, Health and Safety and Security Risk Assessments and associated Documents and Procedures are reviewed and maintained e.g.: Fire Strike Cards, Tenant Security Services, and Emergency Contact Listings etc.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and operation of all Security related equipment, including CCTV, Sentrax (underground perimeter security), the ANPR system (vehicle recognition), estate Fire Alarm Systems, radios and patrol clocking points. Ensuring any issues are recorded with any issues being resolved promptly.
  • Maintain the highest quality Health & Safety regimes associated with the provision of Security Services, including General Health & Safety procedures/checks and Fire prevention, training, checks and alarm tests.
  • Undertake regular internal and external inspections of Estate areas, ensuring all faults or issuesare reported and rectified within the agreed timescales.
  • To regularly visit the Gatehouse, to ensure that Gatehouse services are delivered in line with business and Park Security requirements, ensuring that Visitor/Guest and Delivery Management is prompt, secure and customer focused.
  • To monitor and manage traffic on site. Ensuring all tenants, guests and contractors stick to the parks speed limits and adhere to allocated parking spaces.
  • Establish and maintain accurate records for Security, ensuring that ALL incidents are recorded and reported in line with the Escalation Procedures.
  • Produce and submit a monthly report. Attend regular formal meetings as required.
  • Conduct such other general and special duties as may be required from time to time, this may include covering shifts.
Main Duties and Responsibilities on Behalf of client
  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager, maintain the highest quality Health, Safety and Environmental regimes for The Estate.
  • Liaising closely with the Operations Manager, monitor the Security arrangements and any building alterations and/or H&S issues within tenanted areas.
  • To maintain good communications with the local Security Group and relevant external agencies such as Police, Fire Service, SIA, Uttlesford District Council.
  • Attend Tenant and client meetings as required.
  • Investigate any reports of “un-authorised” access to The Park, ensuring any necessary corrective and preventative actions are implemented and briefed.
  • Ensuring that visiting contractors and associated sub-contractors adhere to The Park Rules and that Permits to Access are issued as required.
  • Assist with park events and projects as required, maintaining a team work approach to all tasks.

The Ideal Candidate:
To be considered for this role candidates must meet the following:
  • Previous Security Management experience
  • Experience of providing excellent customer services
  • Driving license is essential (A company vehicle will not be provided)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • 5 years checkable work history
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK/EU
  • Fluent written and spoken English
