Search Energy is working with Our Key Client in the Nuclear Industry to source a Security Manager to be based on site at Didcot for a minimum 12-month contract.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to work in the UK without restriction as you will be required to undergo checks for Security Clearance, this is essential prior to securing the role. Candidates, therefore who have not lived as a full-time UK resident within the last five years need not apply.

You will be responsible for the maintenance, development and continuous improvement of security arrangements to internal and externally standards. Lead the continual improvement of arrangements to contribute to the organisational development.

Responsibilities:
*The development and maintenance of security arrangements to internal and externally bench marked standards.
*Maintenance of security arrangements.
*Development and continuous improvement of security systems, policies, procedures and work instructions to improve efficiency, meet developing organisational requirements and appropriate internal, external and international standards.
*Champion security.
*Advise and provide guidance to the organisation in relation to security, safeguards and non-proliferation requirements and systems development. This covers both the day to day operations as well as the requirements relating to the implementation of geological disposal such as site characterisation activities and the construction, operation and closure of a geological disposal facility. *Support independent oversight of adherence to security standards, and the investigation, reporting and effective resolution of non-conformance.
*Support management of regulatory relationships and interactions. Day-to-day management of security aspects of activities
*Support the HSSE Director in the efficient and effective delivery of the security-related activities agreed to carry out for itself or on behalf of NDA.
*Support NDA security staff in the efficient and effective delivery of the security-related services NDA has agreed to provide
*Develop and deliver security induction and training to staff, delivery partners and suppliers.
*Carry out security risk assessments for particular business activities.
*Supervising the adequacy of security-related installation and maintenance work carried out by delivery partners and/or suppliers on the Office building and premises.

You will ideally have:
*A first degree in an appropriate subject.
*Significant understanding of security best practice and proven experience of physical and information security.
*Significant Understanding of Cabinet Office Security Policy Framework, Civil Nuclear and MoD Security Standards and the legislation relevant to the nuclear industry.
*Experience of writing procedures, drafting reports, and providing training.
*Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.

In return Our Client is offering a minimum 12-month contract with a competitive rate of pay that will include travel/accommodation/subsistence for those working away from home.
