We are currently recruiting for a weapons maintainer to work full time with occasional evenings and weekends when required.
Duties and Responsibilities;
- Issue and receipt of weapons both service and private and the recording of such issues and receipts in accordance with regulations.
- Maintenance of all service weapons and associated equipment to depth A and B including authorised repairs.
- Assist in carrying out Free from Explosives duties.
- Carry out Range Warden duties during periods of absence.
- Undertake Duty Armourer as detailed by Armoury Supervisor.
- Assisting the explosive staff during bulk movements of ammunition.
- The up keep of weapon unloading facilities.
- Recording small arms maintenance on the JAMES database.
Essential skills Skills and Experience;
- Experienced in small arms maintenance and qualified to carry out Depth B maintenance on small arms by holding the RAF qualification Q-W-GDSA or a suitable equivalent.
- Full clean UK driving license.
- Be able to achieve full Security Clearance.
- Minimum colour perception standard of CP2.
- Please note age restrictions apply due to the nature of the environment and having access to weapons and ammunition.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Flexible working approach.
- Good IT skills
