As Security Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of manned security at the College.

The Security Manager will be responsible for the daily direction and management of direct staff reports to ensure high standards of service delivery to customers. Coordinating all training for the security team, you must develop and deliver a modern, flexible security service incorporating excellent standards of customer service that meets the needs of the College and best practice.

Acting as the first point of contact for emergency services and community liaison, you will carry out Health & Safety risk assessments and use CCTV equipment to monitor and view past incidents. Ensuring the buildings are secure, you must ensure prompt contractor call-outs in response to system breakdowns and that all system fire and security testing and logs are completed accurately.

Candidates for this role must hold an SIA Licence and be experienced in managing an in-house Security Team in an efficient manner. Results focussed, you will be able to establish creditability with managers and have a good understanding of the business need. With knowledge of up to date security practices, you will have highly developed communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills and work well under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines.

They are looking for an individual who can work both individually and as part of a team. You will have a willingness to accept ownership and responsibility and have a proven track record of application of HR policy and procedures. Candidates must also hold an appropriate Level 3 qualification.
