RedR is an international disaster relief charity which trains aid workers and provides skilled professionals to humanitarian programmes worldwide, helping to save and rebuild the lives of people affected by natural and man-made disasters.
The aim of this job is to act as security advisor on all security management activities for RedR UK, providing organisational analysis, support and advice across all activities and offices.To ensure quality and consistency of security practices and policies in all RedR offices and coach/advise security staff in international country programmes.To provide training support to the Europe/Global Initiatives Regional programme including delivering and coordinating training in the UK open/bespoke training programme and international offices.
In depth understanding and experience of managing security within INGO’s at the organisational and country programme level
Experience and understanding of training delivery and methodologies
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and issues
Ability to multi task within the various responsibilities
Effective workload management skills and ability to use initiative to solve problems
Excellent interpersonal and team skills
Strong representation and networking skills
Computer literacy in MS Office
Willingness and ability to undertake potentially extensive (weeks, not months) travel internationally and also travel to often insecure and difficult environments
Fluency in a language other than English
Salary:£35, 200 gross p.a. as starting salary
