The role of Physical Security Manager will be a key position within the Group Corporate Security team. This is a Paddington (London) based role.


The purpose of the role is to conduct physical security reviews of all key locations owned and operated by Vodafone Group, producing detailed risk and threat assessments. To produce the physical security review program, taking into account site profiles and security categories, and the enforcement of the program within the scope of company requirements. To advise Group functions and entities on remedial actions following an investigation or physical security breach to prevent another incident from occurring. To review best practice and standards and develop a cost-effective approach to maintain levels of physical security balanced against commercial objectives. To ensure physical security standards are maintained without impacting on customer experience.

As Physical Security Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

• Production and maintenance of an annual plan detailing physical security reviews/audit schedules for all Group sites.
• Complete physical security audits as part of a cyclical programme on all Group sites. Frequency dependent on criticality and security category.
• Maintain risk register of physical security review findings and work with relevant stakeholders to drive physical security improvements.
• Provide advice to supply chain/Property on physical security requirements related to suppliers or outsource partners.
• Advise projects as required on all aspects of preventative security controls relating to individual projects and provide resolutions to security issues as appropriate.


As Physical Security Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Proven People and Asset protection experience, preferably within the telecommunications industry or a multinational, matrix organisation.
• Experience in internal audit and/or project management, crisis management and ISO 27001.
• Knowledge of current physical security best practice, including CPNI, within the commercial environment.
• Experience providing Executive Production reviews, providing concise and accurate feedback to the “principle”.
• Able to conduct physical security reviews and support and guide any subsequently required remedial activity.
• Experience in delivering a proportionate level of protection to brand and company infrastructure in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification advantageous.
